Apple have announced the imminent release of their new gadget – the iPad.

The aim of this device is to provide a product in between the iPhone and a laptop in terms of mobility, performance and price.

By connecting through either WiFi or 3G (mobile broadband), iPad users will be able to surf the web on their gadget, controlling their navigation with touchscreen technology in a similar fashion to the existing iPhone – but on a larger and superior screen. There are a host of other features iPad users can access too – check out Apple’s site for more.

So what does this mean for your organisation?

Well, with the amount of mobile web browsing increasing at an extremely rapid rate, what better time to make sure that your website performs well cross-browser and cross-resolution. We can take your existing site and make sure it performs well on a range of devices, from smartphones to large graphics monitors – and of course on the new iPad and the inevitable copycat devices which will follow from other technology companies.

Also, you may wish to have a site specifically developed with the iPad functionality in mind – optimise your site navigation and pictures to look and work great on this exciting new gadget. We can even develop a system for you which allows you to update your main site and, hey presto, your iPad or smartphone specific version updates too.
